The Mo-Hair Suit

A PRICKLY CONVERSATION STARTER

A PRICKLY CONVERSATION STARTER

Globally, on average, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day. But in 2019 there was the only health issue in everyone’s mind, COVID-19.

Sponsors of men’s health charity Movember, Politix needed a way to lead men’s health conversation by placing the issue in the minds of all Aussies. They needed to make a statement that couldn’t be ignored.

So we launched The Mo-hair Suit. The first suit crafted from a material made from moustache hair. A suit so beautifully crafted yet so ugly to think about wearing.

DISRUPTING THE NEWS CYCLE

We needed to put men’s health back in the minds of Australians at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic was the only thing in the news cycle. We gave the suit it’s much needed moment by launching it on Australia’s biggest morning show.

WORN TO BE HEARD

The Mo-Hair Suit’s lining is printed with dedications to men who have gone through Men’s health problems.

IMPECCABLE TAILORING MEETS MOUSTACHE MADE FABRIC

The Mo-Hair Suit was expertly tailored by the team at Politix using a material custom-made by Melbourne visual artist, Pam Kleemann-Passi. POLITIX and Bullfrog sourced the mo-hair from Sustainable Salons, and from collaborators whose lives have been touched by men's health issues.
